HAMBURG , N.Y. – Katie Donahue has been appointed assistant library director and information literacy coordinator at Hilbert College’s McGrath Library.
In her new position, Donahue will assist the director with daily library administration, maintaining the library budget and future planning for library operations. She will also manage the college’s information literacy program.
Donahue, a Buffalo resident, comes to Hilbert from Kenmore East High School where she served as school library media specialist. Previously, she was a research assistant in the University at Buffalo Communication Department and the Library and Information Studies Department.
Donahue is publicity chair of the School Librarians’ Association of Western New York and is secretary of the Buffalo Junior Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Cheektowaga, Donahue received a master’s degree in library science from UB and a bachelor’s degree in management from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass.
