HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert College women’s volleyball team extended their winning streak to three games after their 3-0 swept of Wells College September 12. Chelsea Reischuck led the victors with 8 digs combined with 4 kills as the Hawks move to 4-1. Wells dropped to 1-6 with the non-conference loss.
The Hawks took commend early in the match with their 25-12, 25-9 and 25-15 set scores. Middle hitter, Rachel Kwiatkowski led the team with .600 hitting percentage after delivering 7 kills many off quick sets from Shannon Memminger (17 assists). Jordan Botsford (6 digs, 3 kills) and Allegra Johnson (7 digs, 3 kills) also were solid contributors.
The Hawks finished with .340 hitting percentage, earned 10 service aces, but sadly, they also gave Wells 12 points off of service miscues.
The Hawks will host their first annual Hilbert Invitational September 14 and 15 when five other NCAA institutions come to Hamburg for the two-day event. Follow this link for Hilbert game times.
