  • Alumni Email Account Policy | May 18, 2022

Hilbert College has historically extended email account privileges as a courtesy to qualified Hilbert alumni. Effective June 1, 2022, the College has a new policy and process for the use of these email resources going forward.

    Policy

    1. Upon termination of enrollment status, Hilbert College network email will be suspended one year (12 months) after disenrollment. As an example, for the Class of 2022, email services will be suspended on June 1, 2023.

    2. Disenrollment is defined as a change from activated academic status to either completed (graduated), withdrawn, dismissal or discontinued. If a student graduates, their academic status changes to “completed” and their account will be transferred to Alumni status for one year (as noted above).

    3. Notification for deactivation of the account will be provided by Hilbert IT on a quarterly basis, providing ample time to transition to an alternative non-Hilbert email account.

    4. If enrolled in a Hilbert College graduate program, the primary relationship with the College will return to student status and the Hilbert email will not be disabled. If employed by Hilbert College, the primary relationship will become an employee and the Hilbert email account will remain active. These are the only two exceptions for the email account to remain active after disenrollment.

This Hilbert College policy is administered by Hilbert College Chief Information Officer, Jeremy Trumble (jtrumble@hilbert.edu) and the Director of Annual Fund and Alumni Engagement, LeeAnn Petronsky (lpetronsky@hilbert.edu).

All inquiries or requests should be directed to the Alumni Office as the primary point of contact. Additional contact information: alumnirelations@hilbert.edu or 716.926.8963.

These newly created advisory committees will provide College leadership and staff with support and expertise in the planning and execution of each of the three projects and initiatives. We extended invitations to current and past members of the Hilbert Board of Trustees, the Hilbert 2025 Advisory Council, the Hilbert Alumni Association Board and all Hilbert alumni who wish to serve.

Hilbert College Names Lantzky-Eaton Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Apr 10, 2017

Kristina Lantzky-Eaton, Ph.D. photoHAMBURG, N.Y. – After a national search, Kristina M. Lantzky-Eaton, Ph.D. has been named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Hilbert College, President Cynthia Zane announced.  Lantzky-Eaton served as the Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Hilbert in 2016-17.

“I am confident that Dr. Lantzky-Eaton has the experience, vision, wisdom, and leadership skills to work collaboratively with constituencies across this campus to advance our academic areas and student life offices,” Zane said.  “Her accomplishments in the interim role have verified my confidence in her ability to succeed in the permanent role.”

She is the first woman to serve in the chief academic officer role at Hilbert in over 20 years.

In the interim role, Lantzky-Eaton worked with faculty committees on campus to finalize a faculty handbook, coordinate a new promotion and revised tenure process, and implement online evaluations.  Some of her other accomplishments at Hilbert include restructuring the Graduate Studies Department and developing a Title III grant.

“The Board has appreciated the accomplishments that the faculty, in partnership with Dr. Lantzky-Eaton, have achieved this year,” said Edward Gelia, Jr., Chair of the Hilbert College Board of Trustees.  “We look forward to working with her as she continues to advance the College's commitment to student success by enhancing academic excellence.”

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is responsible for providing academic leadership, enriching the sense of college community, embracing 21st century teaching and learning, and raising the frequency of high-impact learning practices.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to serve as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs to help advance the academic and student life priorities for the entire campus community,” Lantzky-Eaton said. “I look forward to the continued collaboration with the talented faculty, students, and staff at Hilbert to build on our progress and support our academic excellence.”

Prior to Hilbert, Lantzky-Eaton was the Chair of the Chemistry Department at St. John Fisher College in Rochester since 2010.  She has an extensive record of accomplishment and service as an educator, including roles in college-wide governance, assessment and accreditation, community service, grant writing, and more.  Lantzky-Eaton has published in peer-reviewed journals, and she has presented nationally at numerous conferences on topics related to STEM and higher education.

Lantzky-Eaton is a graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa receiving her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Physics.  She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming in Physical Chemistry.

In service to her community, Lantzky-Eaton has served on the East Rochester Union Free School District Board, including elected roles of vice president and president.  She was a member of the High School Shared Decision Making Team at East Rochester and she is president of the Sea Dragons Swim Club.
