HAMBURG, N.Y. -- Sponsors from the Orchard Park business community are sought for an essay contest being organized by the Hilbert College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team.
SIFE team members Toni Incorvaia and Kelly Hill of East Aurora and Sarah Gernatt of Gowanda will give a presentation in March about the free enterprise system to the fifth grade "Spectrum" class of gifted students at Ellicott Elementary in Orchard Park. A similar presentation will be made to a group of non-business majors at Orchard Park High School. The student essay contest will be held following the presentations.
Proceeds from the essay contest will go toward establishing a model free enterprise on campus and help fund scholarships for SIFE students.
In addition to sponsors, representatives from Orchard Park businesses are needed to serve as essay judges.
To serve as a sponsor or judge, contact Daniel Roland, Hilbert’s SIFE director and professor of business administration, at 649-7900, ext. 351, or e-mail
