ALTOONA, PA – The Hilbert College men’s soccer team moved to 4-2 in league standings after their shut-out loss at Penn State Altoona October 13. The Lions improved to 4-3 with their 3-0 win at home.
Altoona opened the scoring after Adam Slear launched a long-range shot near the left sideline which sailed into the net. The Lions scored their second goal on a restart kick was directed to the back of the net by Garrett Storm at 32:15. With only four minutes off the clock in the second period, Altoona scored the game’s last goal.
The Hawks didn’t get many good looks at the frame, as they were outshot 13-5. Jeremy Kraska dropped to 3-6-1 making five saves during the match.
Hilbert (6-6-1, 4-2) travels to Riverside High School October 17 as they challenge D’Youville College at 7pm in their next AMCC match.
