GANSEVOORT, NY - The 2013 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship Tournament is set, with the Keuka College Storm entering as the top seed after going a perfect 7-0 in conference play to capture the regular season title.
The Storm (10-1 overall) will open tournament play in the semifinals on Wednesday when they host the Morrisville State College Mustangs, who earned the No. 4 seed with a 4-3 conference record. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
In the other semifinal round matchup, the Medaille College Mavericks will host the Hilbert College Hawks, which will also be on Wednesday at All-High Stadium (Main Street, Buffalo located behind Bennett High School) at 7:15 p.m. Both teams finished with identical 5-2 records in NEAC play, but the Mavericks earned the No. 2 seed after defeating the Hawks in a 20-19 thriller last Wednesday. Hilbert won their final two conference games following that loss to clinch the third seed.
The winners from each contest will then meet for the NEAC Championship on Saturday, May 4 at 1 p.m., with the match being hosted by the highest remaining seed.
