HAMBURG, N.Y. – After a national search, Jeremy Trumble has been named Chief Information Officer at Hilbert College, President Michael S. Brophy, Ph.D. announced. Trumble’s appointment is effective February 21, 2022.
“I am confident that Jeremy has the experience and leadership skills to advance our information services and improve our operational efficiency,” Brophy said. “I am thrilled to have a leader with his knowledge and understanding in this vital role for our campus.”
Trumble comes to Hilbert after 14 years at Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he served as Deputy Chief Information Officer/ Director, Enterprise Solutions. He oversaw planning and facilitation of the IT Services operating budget, chaired the presidential task force for data governance, and was the program and project manager for Hobart’s OneCard implementation. In addition to data governance, he was responsible for evaluating institutional priorities on the Administrative IT Committee and the PeopleSoft Team Leader Committee.
Prior to Hobart, Trumble served as the Student & Web Services Manager at Rochester Institute of Technology. He was responsible for the strategic direction, project management, and day-to-day operations of RIT’s web services team. Previously, he also served as a Senior E-Business Architecture Consultant at Apex Information Management Consultants.
Trumble has been a member of various technology organizations, including the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, Consortium of Liberal Arts Colleges, Oracle – Higher Education User Group (Chair; Technical Advisory Group), and the Association of Higher Education Web Developers.
Trumble has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from SUNY Potsdam. He received his master’s degree in service innovation and leadership from RIT. Trumble is a native of Ogdensburg, NY and currently resides in Pittsford, NY.
