HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College was awarded a $265,000 grant from The John R. Oishei Foundation. The funding will be used to support global access to higher education through Hilbert College Global (HCG), the College’s online division.
“This is a very significant day for our college and our online students enrolling through Hilbert College Global,” Hilbert President Michael S. This transformative funding for HCG and online students will help support the following areas:
- Student Support and Accessibility Services;
- Academic Access and Affordability;
- Online Onboarding and Tutoring Supports; and
- Faculty and Staff Professional Development.
This funding will allow Hilbert to focus on building a strong, successful, and sustainable program that has the essential components for student academic success and robust faculty training and engagement. This also helps ensure the College can successfully launch and develop this long-term division by, most importantly, supporting students and HCG faculty and staff with state-of-the-art professional development, skill building and essential teaching delivery training.
Hilbert College, located in suburban Hamburg, N.Y., south of Buffalo, is a private four-year college founded in 1957 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition. With over 800 students, Hilbert is a dynamic Western New York college that offers career-focused majors, including one of the top criminal justice programs in the region, and more than 50 minors and concentrations.
