Study Skills Assistance
The Academic Services Center located in the Learning Commons of McGrath Library is the place to go to brush up on your study skills or learn about time management techniques and organizational skills. Schedule a one-on-one meeting with staff who can assist you in building your academic and technology skills.
Students come to the Center for assistance with scheduling course requirements that are a part of each semester. All it takes is a calendar/planner, course guidelines, and some time with Center staff, and you will be on your way to a well-planned semester.
The Center also assists in the formation of study groups. Students who need additional assistance in a specific course meet in the center with a study group leader recommended by the course instructor. Study groups usually meet on a weekly basis.
Recently many of these resources have been moved online as well! All Hilbert students may also self-enroll into the Academic Coach's Blackboard Course to view various academic workshop videos at any time and then receive additional one-on-one support if needed! Topics include: navigating Blackboard, test taking strategies, organization, online learning tips, and much more! Visit the Academic Services Organization within Blackboard for more information.
