Counseling Services

U-Haul Free Storage for 30-days

Computer Access

As Hilbert continues its transition to online education, students without access to a computer should reach out to the Office of Campus Ministry - jpapia@hilbert.edu or Student Support Form


WiFi Access

Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to make you aware of emergency community resources that are available to our students in the Western New York area.

Emergency Food Resources

  • Hilbert’s on-campus food pantry, Mother Colette’s Cupboard, is temporarily located in Franciscan Hall - Center for Student Involvement & Leadership will be open M-F 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for students in need of non-perishable emergency food assistance.
  • Hilbert students with emergency food needs beyond that of our on-campus pantry are encouraged to reach out to our community partner, Resurrection Life Food Pantry at 716-608-3400 for emergency food assistance.
  • Students without transportation in need of emergency food resources should contact the Office of Campus Ministry - jpapia@hilbert.edu
  • As we continue to be impacted by COVID 19 and should students’ jobs and finances become deeply affected, students may become newly eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.  Students should visit their county’s social services webpage for more information.  Here is a link to Erie County:  http://www2.erie.gov/snap/index.php?q=apply


Utilities

The State’s major electric and gas utilities, Con Edison, National Grid, Central Hudson, Orange and Rockland, NYSEG, RG&E, PSEG Long island, and National Fuel Gas have all committed to suspend shut-offs for customers, and assist customers impacted by COVID-19 who may be experiencing financial hardship that makes it difficult for them to pay their utility bills during the outbreak.

If a student is struggling with their utility bills first contact and work with their utility company, as needed, and please make sure they are aware of the NYS DPS Helpline and Hotline numbers for additional assistance, if necessary. 

The NYS Department of Public Service Helpine is 1-800-342-3377, 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday-Friday, for complaints/inquiries about utility services or billing.   The NYS Department of Public Service Hotline is 1-800-342-3355, 7:30am – 7:30pm M-F, for electric or natural gas shut off concerns or situations will continue to be open.
