Student Success Team
The Student Success Team, in keeping with the Franciscan commitment to the dignity and value of each person, provides outreach, intervention, and support to students by providing information and referral to campus services in an effort to strengthen their academic success as well as their connection to the campus community.
The student success team consists of members of Hilbert College faculty and staff who meet regularly to discuss issues and develop strategies that support student success. The team receives names of students who may be struggling academically or in their personal lives, then contacts those students to identify ways to help raise their grades, catch up with school work, or deal with personal issues in a healthy way.
Team Goals:
- To alert identified students to campus support systems and to develop strategies to facilitate long-term student success
- To educate the college community to the importance of early identification of students exhibiting behaviors that may impede academic success and their future contributions to society
- To engage students through offering activities and programs that communicate the commitment of the Team to student success
- To ensure that college policies and procedures support the needs of students being served
