CJ/FS Association
The Criminal Justice & Forensic Science Association is a co-curricular organization composed of criminal justice majors, forensic science majors and faculty from both disciplines.
The Association provides an informal setting in which students and faculty can discuss ideas, current events and careers within the criminal justice and forensic science fields. The organization also provides students with the opportunity to visit facilities and institutions related to criminal justice or forensic science. All criminal justice and forensic science majors are encouraged to join the association, as well as participate in community activities.
Community Service
A key component of our institution and our club is giving back to our community. Community service helps you grow as an individual and give back to the community, and these benefits are in addition to strengthening your professional resume.
Annually, club members carry out this mission through the Adopt-A-Highway program as well as other activities, such as the Day of Service.
Fundraising
The club actively raises funds for educational trips where students learn more about their field and also have fun and socialize. Recent trips have been made to Chicago and New York City to name a few.
Speaker Series
Networking with professors and professionals in the field is important for your career. The Speaker Series allows you to meet and interact with professionals as well as hear more about current topics and career opportunities in criminal justice.
