Minors

Any student may earn a minor in Forensic Science by successfully following these steps:

1. Apply by completing a form provided by the Office of Student Records, which will be forwarded to the appropriate departments for evaluation.
 

2. Upon approval of your application, take these five courses:
   1. CJ 101 Introduction to Criminal Justice
   2. FS 101 Introduction to Forensic Science
   3. FS 201 Introduction to Forensic Photography/Imagery
   4. FS 318 Special Topics in Forensic Science I
   5. FS 319 Special Topics in Forensic Science II
    
3. Take any one course listed within this group:
   1. CJ 315 Laws and Rules of Evidence
   2. CJ 404 Criminal Investigation/Criminalistics
   3. FS 302 Computer Crime Investigation
   4. FS 320 Interview & Interrogation techniques
   5. PSY 410 Forensic Psychology

 

CONCENTRATIONS

Any student may concentrate in Biology by:

   1. BI 140 College Biology I with Lab
   2. BI 141 College Biology II with Lab
   3. CH 140 General Chemistry with Lab
   4. BI 300 Genetics with Lab
   5. BI 340 Molecular Biology with Lab

Any student may concentrate in Digital Forensics by:

2. Take these five courses:
   1. CIS 170 Computer Systems: Computer Architecture & Operating Systems
   2. CIS 270 Introduction to Computer Networking
   3. FS 302 Computer Crime Investigations
   4. ECI Computer Forensics
   5. FS 404 Advanced Mobile Device Forensics
